Echeveria "Chantilly Marginata" variegated – Origin: Don Suculentas The Echeveria “Chantilly Marginata” is a mutation derived from Echeveria “Chantilly”, hybrid of the gibbiflora line created by Dick Wright, where the broad shape and rounded leaves characteristic of this genetics are maintained. It develops an open and elegant rosette, with wide, slightly wavy leaves and a smooth surface, preserving that typical sculptural appearance of gibbiflora hybrids. The Echeveria “Chantilly Marginata” stands out for a very pronounced marginal variegation, where the edges acquire cream and pink tones that contrast with the gray-green center of the leaf. Under good lighting, the margins intensify towards brighter reddish tones, creating a very clean transition between the center and the edge. This expression "marginata" provides a much more defined visual reading than in other Chantilly mutations, reinforcing the outline of each leaf and generating a very ornamental and balanced rosette. During intense summer, they may partially slow down their growth, especially in warm climates. In these phases, controlling excess moisture is much more important than increasing watering frequency.
