Small Computer Control Station

The small computer control station looked untouched at first glance, but the search party quickly noticed the empty chairs and abandoned terminals still running on emergency power. A Corporal stepped between the divider screens while a Sergeant checked corrupted data feeds scrolling endlessly across the monitors. Someone had sealed several storage cabinets from the inside before disappearing into the deeper sections of the colony. The only sound in the room was the soft crackle of damaged speakers repeating fragments of evacuation warnings. As the squad prepared to move on, the motion tracker suddenly gave a single sharp ping from somewhere beyond the northern wall...
