LETTERS TO A GRIEVING LAND engages with the idea of “traumascapes” – landscapes that carry the imprints of past violence and disruption. Through essays and personal letters, the publication reflects on how these environments have the ability to grieve as well as shape collective memory, foster resilience, and the possibility of renewal. A Collection of essays gathered by Katerina Sidorova, made together with Bertus Gerssen and Zineb Benassarou with contributions from Annechien Meier, Yvonne Bos, Tamara N. Lewis Arredondo, Arina Adju, Amy Gowen, Beatrix Futák-Campbell, Marjolein Ossewaarde, Maitiú Mac Cárthaigh, anna andrejew, Kate Price, Michelle Teran and Su Yang. Printed with soil-based inks, each publication includes a unique sheet of plantable paper embedded with seeds provided by the authors.
