The Edward Ruscha Catalogue Raisonné of the Paintings is an ongoing project by Gagosian that to date comprises seven volumes. Volume five documents the 191 paintings Ed Ruscha made between 1993 and 1997. Highlights include major commissions for the Denver Central Library and the Getty Center in Los Angeles; a series of Cityscapes, many of which use bleach as a medium; and Ruscha’s first mountain painting. The volume contains a comprehensive exhibition history, bibliography, and biographical chronology, as well as sketches, studies, and documentary photos.
