This pre-filter is the first line of defence, enhancing the performance of your water system by filtering out large particles. It helps protect your pipes, extend the lifespan of your water filters, and improve the efficiency of your appliances. Filtering Components & Capabilities The UltraLux Home Pre-filter features a flushable and reusable 40-micron stainless steel mesh screen that captures large particles and prevents them from reaching your main filtration system. Clay Gravel Sand Silt Rust Organic matter Easy Installation & Maintenance Installing the UltraLux Home Pre-filter is simple, requiring minimal tools. If connected in a flexible area, installation only involves unscrewing the fittings and placing the pre-filter in line. For non-flexible areas, a tube cutter may be required to fit the filter in place. Fittings: The filter comes with 1-inch male threads and optional 3/4-inch brass adapters. Additionally, an optional 3/8-inch PEX pipe quick-connect fitting at the bottom allows for secondary connections. Approximately 2 feet of PEX pipe is included. Maintenance Made Easy The UltraLux Home Pre-filter includes a handy filter-removal tool, making it easy to remove the mesh screen for regular rinsing. Simply take out the mesh screen, rinse off accumulated particles, and place it back for continued performance.
