Prerequisites: A previous Fine Point Oxford Punch Needle course, or similar experience with the use of the Fine Point Oxford Punch Needle. Length: Four 2 hour sessions (8 hours total) with homework between sessions. Dates: Wednesday October 21, 28, November 4, 11, 2026 Time: 7:00 pm to 9:00pm Eastern Time Size: 12 Students maximum Instructor: Laura Berlage Celebrate your beloved pets! This immersive, individualized project celebrates the dimensionality and color blending of needle felting along with the coziness of punch needle rug hooking to create charming odes to our animal friends. Laura will take you step-by-step to creating your felted pet, then show you her method of trimming and attaching the needle felting to the monk’s cloth to punch the Art Nouveau-inspired background. Received individualized coaching for your specific pet (including the option for customizing the design) as well as how to adjust the background for a “rainbow bride” theme if desired. These also make excellent gifts! Finished, framed piece is 8.5 inches in diameter (not including metal hanger at top). ORHS classes are recorded as a courtesy to its students by the ORHS and its instructors, and the recording will be made available to course participants for 30 days after the course. This allows you to review the lesson, or to catch up should you miss a class.
