It features a simple clamshell design. Open the side clip, place it around the drip chamber (Murphy's dropper) or the tubing immediately below it, and snap it shut. Ensure the fit is snug for accurate detection. Does this device touch the actual medicine liquid? No. It uses non-contact sensor technology to detect flow from the outside of the tubing. The device never comes into direct contact with the infusion liquid, maintaining sterility. What do the different lights mean? A steady Green light indicates the device is on and monitoring normal flow. A flashing Red light combined with a beeping sound means the infusion has stopped or is too slow. (On supported models, a Blue light may indicate night mode or charging status).
