Among North Coast winemakers, optimism around the 2025s is high for good reason: growing conditions were outstanding. Long hang times with no major heat events resulted in even ripening, and the stage is set for a classic vintage reminiscent of 2019 – wines of exceptional depth, freshness, and age-worthiness are expected across the board. Our price: $19/bottle! 2025’s cold, wet winter replenished soils, while the skies parted for bud break and flowering right on cue, leading to a healthy fruit set followed by one of the coolest summers in recent memory. As harvest approached, chilly nights preserved acidity, and warm, clear days nudged the bunches toward complete ripeness. Our source’s vines roll across hills by the San Pablo Bay, planted in thin soils and bathed in overnight fog. These Pinot Noir grapes are bursting with freshness and energy, fermented and aged in stainless steel to evolve into one of those rare Rosés that showcase a sense of place. A shimmering pale salmon on the pour, the wine opens with a focused nose of wild strawberries and dried herbs, gradually giving way to florals and wet stones.
