CLASS: Granny Square Chickens! SATURDAY 6/27/26 1:00-4:00pm

Instructor: Shari Besser Cost: $40 plus Materials Dates: Saturday, June 27, 1:00-4:00 pm Level: Prior to this class, you need to be comfortable with chaining, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, and triple crochet. Advanced beginner. This class is for participants age 16+. Skills: You will learn a unique granny square construction, how to piece the two squares together, then make the beak and comb and sew on eyes. Patterns: Granny Square Chicken by Sweet Softies - may be purchased in shop. Materials: 10% off with class purchase. Please purchase project yarn at Rose Yarn Co. 3-6 colors of DK or worsted weight yarn. Suggested yarns: Sirdar Happy Cotton, Rowan Summerlite DK or Handknit Cotton Appropriate sized crochet hook for yarn chosen - size B for DK, size C for worsted Scissors Tapestry needle Poly-fil and safety eyes will be provided in class Instructor Bio: From Shari Besser – “I’ve been teaching classes since 1998, when my twins graduated from high school, and Zandy from Zandy’s yarn shop took a chance on me! I learn more from people than I teach! My grandma taught me to crochet and knit a bit, but a friend sat me down and taught me the basics, I’m so thankful for her! I’m still learning and in awe of what so many accomplish. I might be a familiar face as I’ve taught at a few shops!”
