Talipariti tiliaceum var. populneus

Beach Hibiscus (Malvaceae) is an evergreen sub-tropical/tropical shrub or small tree, reaching a height of about 30 feet. Its natural habitat is coastal swamps, therefore, it has a high salt tolerance. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. This particular variety of Beach Hibiscus has a very distinct leaf: elongated, undulate and creamy yellow with green stripes. Talipariti tiliaceum var. populneus blooms year-round, producing a light yellow flower with a dark maroon center, changing over the course of the day to a deep orange/red before falling. An excellent choice for dense screening and hedging or as a shade tree. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
