In the Victorian era, swallow jewellery was worn as a talisman - a promise of safe return, of home, of the people waiting there. This necklace carries that same quiet history. A slightly larger swallow in flight, wings set with seed pearls, with an antique quality that feels as though it has been passed down rather than newly made. Because the best pieces always look that way. Measures 2 x 2cm suspended from an 18in diamond cut belcher chain. Available in recycled sterling silver or 18ct gold plate, handmade in my cottage workshop in rural England.
