Named after the river that sustains the valley, it’s a hub for both community and quality. This Red Bourbon reflects Burundi’s push for excellence, with farmers receiving improved seedlings through partnerships with ISABU and Greenco. Yandaro also promotes sustainability by returning composted coffee pulp to farms as fertilizer. In Burundi, coffee is an intimate family affair. Most farms consist of fewer than 250 trees nestled in backyard gardens, where families hand-pick cherries to produce modest annual yields of 200–300 kilos. Yandaro serves as the vital link for these small-scale growers, offering the processing and export support necessary to share their boutique harvests with the world.
