Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph Ref. 5980/1A-019 B+P+SP
Here we have a serious Nautilus from 2012. Why serious? Well, the Ref. 5980 was the first Nautilus that came with a chronograph function. Patek wanted to position the Nautilus as a true luxury sports model. Of course, a chronograph made a lot of sense for them as a sporty extra function on the watch without losing too much of its sharp and well-known design. This is a different beast. With an official 40.5 mm case in full steel, it gives the Nautilus feel you would expect from this watch. The watch comes with a unique monocounter at 6 o’clock where you can see both the chronograph minutes and hours ticking away. The watch itself comes with the in-house CH 28-520 C flyback chronograph movement, allowing you to instantly reset and restart the chronograph after timing with the two additional pushers on the right side of the case. Something we see a lot on newer designs is the open case back, where you can admire the movement behind the sapphire crystal. Patek upgraded the movement with a beautiful 21k yellow gold rotor. The Ref. 5980/1A-019 with its stunning white dial and black-surrounded hour markers was introduced as the successor to the blue dial Ref. 5980/1A-001 and was only produced from 2012 until 2014. So we can safely state that we have an early model in super sharp condition, which is becoming increasingly hard to find worldwide nowadays. The watch itself is literally perfect, and we offer it as a full original box + papers set with recent full service papers from Patek Philippe and a global 2-year warranty from Patek Philippe. A rare opportunity to own a rare and more technical Nautilus from Patek Philippe.
