This leather has a bony look with an emphasis on comfort, finished with scratches and a grainy texture for a high-impact look. The leather is tanned in Japan by soaking raw horsehide in a pit tank. The leather is then fully tanned in a pit tank for about 3 months, taking advantage of the characteristic of horsehide that has many scratches. The leather is then turned on a taiko while being heated and shrunk to half its normal size (from 2m to 1m) to give it an impactful look with its scratches and graininess. The full tannin finish gives the leather a bony appearance, but by adding more oil, it has elasticity and suppleness, making it comfortable to wear. LEATHER MODEL ID : ROVER The ROVER tailored vest is based on the classic gilet silhouette and is luxuriously tailored in leather. The deep V-zone and moderately shaped lines follow the details of an authentic gilet, but with the added weight of leather, this piece has a strong presence. The front has double-brimmed pockets and darts for a flattering silhouette. The buttons are high-class buffalo buttons, which add depth to the look and feel of the material. There is an inside pocket on the left chest. In addition to the center split specification, darts are applied to the back to create a three-dimensional silhouette, resulting in a simple yet profound finish.
