This Hesperaloe is a very showy native succulent from the southwest, much larger growing than its red counterpart, as it can reach height of 5-7 feet and just as much wide. Although from warmer semi-arid climates, this stunning plant has been realized to be extremely cold tolerant, easily surviving sub-zero winter temperatures! Producing bright (almost hot) pink flowers, these are long blooming, good-looking, very low maintenance and attracts hummingbirds! Hesperaloe will often take 2 to 3 years to reach blooming size. So be patient and protect it from deer who love to eat the succulent leaves. These particular plants are hardy to at least USDA zone 5b, and parent plants have seen temperatures well below -15F. These would make excellent additions to your hardy exotic plant collection, or just make a unique statement in your yard.
