Cake Camp: Level Up!, July 27-30, Grades 2-6

Level Up Cake Camp is a four-day, gamer-themed summer cake camp designed for kids who love video games, building worlds, completing challenges, and leveling up their skills. Inspired by iconic game styles kids love (think Minecraft, Mario Bros., Zelda), this summer camp turns cake decorating into the ultimate creative quest. Campers will use professional decorating tools to practice fundamental cake-decorating techniques inspired by video game worlds. They’ll mix and color frosting and fondant, learn to frost a cake smoothly, pipe decorative details, and sculpt fondant into game-inspired elements like blocks, coins, and power-ups. Throughout the week, campers will earn Cake Camp Achievements, sketch video-game-inspired designs in their own notebook, and take part in game-themed challenges that build confidence and skill. The final level unlocks on the last day, when each camper decorates their own 6" gamer-inspired cake masterpiece to take home. Whether your camper is brand new to Cake Camp or ready for a new challenge, Level Up Cake Camp delivers a fresh experience packed with creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on fun. WHAT’S INCLUDED: A reusable, washable apron to decorate and wear throughout camp (repeat campers may size up or choose a different item to decorate) A cake-decorating beginner’s tool kit to take home and practice with after camp, including a small offset spatula, piping tips, and piping bags A design notebook for sketching game-inspired cake creations 6 cupcakes to decorate and bring home A custom sprinkle mix created by the camper to take home Cake Camp Achievements that mark campers’ progress and celebrate what they’ve learned A 6" cake to decorate and bring home on the final day Daily vegetarian, nut-free snack break (campers may bring additional snacks if needed) Game-themed cake lessons, creative challenges, and decorating activities Popcorn party on the final day Expert guidance from Cake Hoopla instructors in a supportive, age-appropriate environment CAMP DETAILS: Dates: Monday–Thursday, July 27-30, 2026 Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Location: Cake Hoopla, 7173 SW Dartmouth St., Tigard, OR 97223 REQUIREMENTS: For kids in grades 2-6 or equivalent age range/skillset Bring a refillable water bottle Wear comfortable, mess-friendly clothing A parent or guardian must sign a Waiver, Release, and Behavior Policy IMPORTANT NOTES: Minimum Participation. At least 5 participants must sign up for this camp to take place. If fewer than 5 participants register, the camp will be canceled, and all bookings will be fully refunded with at least one week's. Refund Policy. If you need to cancel your Cake Camp booking, you may do so for a full refund by emailing hey@cakehoopla.com on or before 14 days prior to the start of the camp. Cancellations made thereafter will be issued store credit in the form of an electronic gift card. No-shows are ineligible for any type of refund or store credit.
