Domaine Dujac Chambolle Musigny 1er Les Gruenchers 2023
Domaine Dujac Chambolle Musigny 1er Les Gruenchers 2023 Note: from a .33 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines. A more subtle application of wood easily allows the ripe and ultra-floral-suffused aromas of dark raspberry and spice to be appreciated. The delicious if barely medium weight flavors possess a sophisticated mouthfeel while displaying a subtle minerality on the balanced, complex and sneaky long finale. This is firm yet elegant and a wine that should age on its impeccable balance.Burghound sweet Spot Outstanding! 91-94 Points; Allen Meadows; Burghound A small plot with great pinot quality from 1930s, where they take their cuttings for massal selection. 100% whole bunch vinification. Glowing purple with an exquisite bouquet. The ripeness was very well judged here. A fine depth of deep red fruit, slightly lactic from the oak at the back, the stems very prominent so for the time being a dry patch which will be swallowed by the fruit. The old vines ripened later in 2023, which was helpful. Drink from 2030-2036. 91-94 Points, Jasper Morris; Inside Burgundy The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers is showing especially well, bursting with aromas of cherries, raspberries, orange zest and cinnamon. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and pure, it's sensual and fragrant, with a vibrant core of fruit and a saline finish. 92-94 Points; William Kelley; Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate
