India must understand this map early. India is a continental power, a maritime power, a technology power and a rising space power. Its security, economy, disaster response, agriculture, communication, navigation, border management and maritime awareness increasingly depend on space systems. India cannot afford borrowed eyes, borrowed signals, borrowed maps or borrowed access. Cooperation is useful. Partnership is valuable. But dependency is dangerous
