Case and Material The case is crafted in steel and finished with a Clou de Paris guilloché pattern across its surfaces. This traditional hobnail motif transforms the architecture of the UR-210. Light no longer moves in broad reflections but breaks across hundreds of small raised points, creating a textured and constantly shifting surface. The contrast between the highly defined case structure and the intricate guilloché finish introduces a different kind of presence, one that is both technical and tactile. An oversized sapphire crystal opens the view into the mechanism, emphasising depth and construction. Satellite Display and Retrograde Minutes At the centre of the URWERK UR-210 Clou de Paris is its satellite wandering hours complication, combined with a retrograde minute indication. A large three-dimensional minute hand frames the active hour satellite as it travels across a 120-degree arc. The motion remains controlled and precise throughout its path. At the 59th minute, the system releases. The hand returns instantly to zero, completing its trajectory in a fraction of a second before aligning with the next hour satellite.
