Junior Farmer Training Program Hands-On Agricultural Education at Goat Life Farm A fully immersive agricultural training program for school-age students who want real farm experience — not just a visit to the animals. Students train alongside Goat Life Farm instructors in: Animal husbandry Goat care and dairy operations Beekeeping Seasonal gardening and crop science Farm-to-table nutrition Goat milk soap and lotion production Pasture and land management Monday - Thursday 9am -3pm Each instructional day runs from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday and is fully structured around hands-on agricultural learning. Every portion of the day — including the midday farm-to-table nutrition module — is part of the agricultural curriculum. Program Structure School-age students only (Kindergarten through age 12) Small-group instructor-led training Working farm environment on our 85-acre farm in Lapeer County Outdoor and barn-based agricultural instruction Sample Training Modules Morning Livestock Instruction Students participate in feeding routines, behavior observation, health checks, and dairy herd management fundamentals. Beekeeping & Pollinator Education Hands-on instruction in hive observation, pollination systems, seasonal bee management, and honey production. Farm-to-Table Nutrition Students learn how agricultural products move from pasture and garden to food production and nutrition. Value-Added Farm Products Instruction and participation in farm made products like botanical perfumes, seed bombs etc. Land & Crop Science Students participate in age-appropriate pasture management, soil observation, gardening, and rotational agriculture instruction. Enrollment Information Enrollment is limited to school-age students and is designed as a supervised agricultural training program focused exclusively on farm education and agricultural instruction.
