Interdimensional Projection
Interdimensional Projection, 24" x 24" Oils, watercolors, gouache, pen and ink, pencils, and graphite on wood. INTERDIMENSIONAL PROJECTION explores the idea that highly advanced civilizations may no longer travel through space using rockets or conventional technology. Instead, they may move through hidden layers of reality found within the subatomic world, where time, distance, and matter behave in ways humanity barely understands. In this vision, the universe is not made of impossible distances, but of invisible shortcuts waiting to be unlocked. A key idea behind this concept is superposition, the strange quantum phenomenon where particles can exist in more than one place or state at the same time. A civilization far beyond our own may have learned how to use this ability as technology, allowing movement across the cosmos instantly. Rather than flying from one place to another, they may simply “shift” into a new location by accessing hidden dimensions beneath physical reality. These civilizations may send intelligent craft across the universe as probes, searching for life, observing developing worlds, or gathering resources. Like cosmic explorers, these systems quietly move through unseen pathways, making the universe feel less like empty space and more like a connected web of hidden worlds, signals, and possibilities waiting to be discovered. •Original artwork created by Daniel Martin Diaz.
