Choose Your Design Ring Workshop - Saturday 4th July (10am to approx. 1pm)

Design and make your own sterling silver ring in a relaxed and friendly studio setting - choose from 4 different ring designs: Hammered ring: create a simple hammered sterling silver wire ring with a choice of hammer textures available. Price: £55 Molten nugget ring: create a textured sterling silver wire ring with a recycled silver nugget. Price: £59 Gemstone ring: create a textured sterling silver wire ring with a faceted gemstone setting. A wide variety of gemstones are available to choose from Price: £76 Gemstone cabochon ring: create a textured sterling silver wire ring with a cabochon setting and set your own gemstone. Choose from a round or oval setting and a wide variety of gemstone colours. Price: £76 Please note that the listing price of £55 is for the simple hammered ring, If you would like to make any of the other designs, you can pay the difference on the day. You’ll be guided through each step, learning a range of traditional silversmithing techniques including sizing, cutting, shaping, texturing, soldering, filing, polishing, finishing and stone setting. All tools and materials are included, and you’ll have your own bench and space to work-plus plenty of encouragement every step of the way. Jewellery making classes are kept small—just five people, to make sure there’s plenty of one-to-one support and time for questions. At the end of the session, you’ll leave with a stunning ring to take home and wear, or gift to someone special. Who is it for? This jewellery making class is perfect for complete beginners—no previous experience is needed. The minimum age is 13, and anyone under 16 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who’s also taking part in the class. Exceptions can sometimes be made for younger children – please get in touch with me to discuss before booking the class. How long is the class? The class lasts approximately 3 hours, including a refreshment break. If your class runs over lunchtime, you’re very welcome to bring along a packed lunch. Or, if you’d prefer something freshly made, the Cornhill Village Shop offers delicious filled rolls, pastries and quiches—it’s a great little spot to visit before the class begins. Please note that class times are approximate and may run slightly over or finish a little earlier, depending on the group. Private group bookings Jewellery classes are a lovely way to celebrate with friends or family.
