Calathea is a small, versatile scarf for warmer months that uses a slip-stitch pattern and yarns with different weights to create an interesting reversible fabric. After working the center section of the scarf from one edge to the other, stitches are picked up around the circumference and a garter border is worked. The center section is worked in a slip-stitch pattern and is shaped with increases and decreases.
