Colombia La Mina
FACT SHEET Tasting Notes: Citrus, Nectarine, Honey, Lemon Zest Roasting: Medium Light Processing Method: Washed Breed: Caturra Cultivation altitude: 2,100m Farm: La Mina Region: Buesaco, Nariño Farm Owner: Franco Lopez TANGERINES, LEMON ZEST, HONEY, NECTARINES It is closer to the refreshing scent of the peel than the flesh you feel when biting into a kumquat. Rather than the intense impression of lemon juice, it evokes the pleasant, tangy aroma wafting from a thinly peeled skin. If brewed as an espresso and served with sugar, it tastes like a lemon-flavored candy filled with fruit jam. If enjoyed as an iced drip coffee, the bright, juicy acidity comes through well, much like orangeade; it is a coffee that is perfectly suited for the increasingly warm season. Last May, we reintroduced the beans from the El Obraje farm in Colombia. It seems many of you were eagerly awaiting them. Many were disappointed as our prepared stock ran out quickly, leading to an early sell-out. Those who enjoyed the Gaehwa Blend from April were particularly looking for the El Obraje beans. As the freshest style among the beans released this month, we recommend it to those who enjoy bright and vibrant coffee.
