Fenix HM53R Rechargeable LED Head Torch

The Fenix HM53R sits just above the HM50R V2.0 in the range, offering increased power, a larger battery capacity and added versatility, while retaining the same compact and lightweight design. It also introduces additional brightness levels in both white and red outputs, along with a magnetic tail cap for enhanced hands-free use. Weighing just 102 grams, the HM53R features a breathable, reflective headband for comfort and visibility. The light can be easily removed and used as a right-angle torch, clipped to clothing with the included pocket clip or attached to metal surfaces via the magnetic tail, making it ideal for camping, hiking, fishing, running, dog walking and workplace tasks. Utilising a Luminus SST-25 cold white LED, the HM53R delivers a maximum output of 1,200 lumens with a beam range of up to 158 metres on Turbo. It also features two red OSRAM LEDs, providing red outputs that help preserve night vision and are useful for signalling or emergency situations. The torch is powered by a single 18350 lithium-ion battery, with the Fenix ARB-L18-1600 battery included. Charging is via the USB-C port located beneath a rubber dust cover on the side of the torch. Using the included cable, the indicator will show red while charging and turn green once fully charged, with a full charge taking approximately 2.5 hours. Operation is controlled by a single side switch. Press and hold for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on in white mode, then cycle through eco, low, mid, high and turbo with single presses. A double press from off provides direct access to the red outputs, cycling through red high, red low and red flash. Press and hold for 0.5 seconds in either mode to turn the light off. The torch features memory recall for the last used white brightness level. A lockout function helps prevent accidental activation. With the light off, press and hold the switch for 3 seconds until the light flashes to confirm lockout. Repeat the process to unlock. The built-in battery indicator displays remaining power when the button is pressed once from off. Solid green indicates high power, flashing green is moderate, solid red is low and flashing red indicates critical battery level. The indicator will also flash red during use when the battery needs recharging.
