2022 Amrita Pinot Noir

As our only Pinot Noir grown beyond the Sta. Rita Hills, Amrita can’t help but stand out. While darker in appearance, from this perch just six miles from the Pacific a bright take on Pinot Noir reigns — the 2022 vintage brings heady Maraschino liqueur and Framboise elements, joined by Branston chutney and graphite. To be sure, the wine is taut with whole-cluster influence and savory, high-toned energy; more time in the glass reveals a piney, coniferous note. That complexity — and the cool, forest air exhale after each sip — make it a treat to keep coming back to.
