Artwork Story This artwork was inspired by some advice my Nanna Maude gave me during a period of my life where I felt lost. She told me in times where I lack direction I need to reconnect with Country. Feel the sand on my bare feet and the strength of my old people. This advice helped me learn that the experience of growth and healing is a journey, one that doesn’t happen overnight. This is represented by the multiple meeting places, depicting the many stops along the way in figuring out who you really are, and where you want to go.
