This handwoven Kanchipuram Korvai silk sari is a tribute to the timeless weaving traditions of Kanchipuram and reflects Parvai’s deep commitment to preserving the beauty and technical brilliance of this craft. Woven in a striking traditional colour combination, the sari features elegant 5.5-inch black Korvai borders adorned with delicate sampanggi flower garland motifs, while the contrast black pallu carries classic temple reku bands highlighted with sampanggi motifs in 2G gold zari. The continuation blouse lends the ensemble a refined retro charm. Crafted from pure mulberry silk with a densely structured yet fluid drape, the sari offers luxurious comfort, softness, and durability designed to last across generations. Requiring over 200 person-hours of craftsmanship, the sari was woven in Kanchipuram using traditional three-shuttle weaving techniques under the supervision of Parvai’s team, ensuring ethical production and dignified wages for every artisan involved. Developed as part of Parvai’s commissioned works, the entire design from colours and motifs to jacquard development was custom created specifically for the patron, making the piece deeply personal, exclusive, and rooted in the spirit of slow, meaningful craftsmanship.
