Makié was founded in 1999 in Soho, NY, by Makie Yahagi. 27 years later, Makié has become “the” children’s clothing store in our city. In 2017 she started her women’s line; the clothes are appreciated for their simplicity and timeless design built on natural fabrics, neutral tones and understated silhouettes. Now in 2026 Makie is launching menswear. Her clothing is all made in NY, much of it in her atelier in the back of her tiny store on Thompson street. Here, Makie is expanding her philosophy into menswear, offering an effortlessly beautiful and timeless wardrobe for the modern man. News is so excited to represent Makié. And we are happy to also let you know that she will have a small selection of her children’s line, as well as the most beautiful exclusive accessories made by her very dear friends / creators Henri and Antonia.
