Kattam Totes - Reversible bags made from Madras Checks Saris - limited edition

Our Kattam Totes are a super limited edition collection of cotton tote bags made from saris. These colorful checks patterns are very popular in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. We picked up a collection of seven saris while in and around Coimbatore this winter. We turned them into this collection of reversible totes bags. Each bag has two designs and can be fully reversed creating two fabulous and fun colorful looks. The handles are made from the sari borders and are the perfect length for carrying over the shoulder. Please note, these bags have not yet been washed. After wash the fabric will become even better! Softer and more beautiful! We recommend machine wash and dry on a low temp with like colors.
