High resiliency medium density foam seat and back are upholstered in durable fabrics. It is normal for solid wood to expand and shrink because of variations in environmental humidity. A consistent humidity level of approximately 50% is recommended to prevent cracks and surface splits. Wood is a natural material, with variations in grain pattern and colour that make each design unique. Frame crafted from solid Oak or Walnut. Back panel is plywood, surfaced with real wood veneer in Oak or Walnut. Wood surfaces are finished with Rubio® Monocoat - a durable, matte, oil-based protector designed to highlight the beauty of natural wood. Wood finish is certified 0% VOC and is an all-natural, environmentally friendly product. Over time the finish will develop a rich patina which highlights the beauty of the natural wood. Manufactured to meet California TB117-2013 fire safety standards without the use of flame retardant additives in the upholstery foam.
