Factory filters clog and reduce high rpm fuel flow significantly. This can also damage injectors. We generally recommend you switch to our basket upgrade but understand not everyone wants to chose that route so we are offering a replacement factory filter. The screen on the bottom of the pump is NOT the factory filter. It is ONLY a pre-screen
