Process: Natural Cupping Notes : Chocolate, Cherry & Almond We are excited to present this coffee produced by the Cafeina Group in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil. As part of the Cocatrel Cooperative in Três Pontas, Sul de Minas, a group was established in 2021 to support and empower female farmers within the cooperative. The Caféina Group represents 21% of Cocatrel’s membership, bringing together 1,154 women producers. Its primary aim is to encourage these women to take a more active role in the cooperative’s decision-making processes. The group meets every two months, providing a platform to enhance members’ education and knowledge, while also increasing their visibility within the coffee-growing community and encouraging greater participation in the sector. The initiative is led by Iandra Vilela, who has received recognition for her work in promoting and supporting women in coffee. This coffee is a natural lot made up of Mundo Novo and Acaia varieties. Once harvested, the coffee cherries are naturally processed giving the coffee its classic Brazilian sweetness. Expect a juicy burst of sweet cherry layered over creamy, rich chocolate, with a hint of almond addding warmth through the finish. We roast these beans medium giving a smooth and balanced coffee which we love on espresso!
