Printmaking & Mixed Media Summer Art Camp Explore layered art, texture, and printmaking for ages 7–14 July 20–24 Instructor: Melissa N. Doors open at 8:30am, activities start at 9am This camp is a hands-on introduction to the arts of printmaking and mixed media. Young artists will learn foundational skills in painting and other media, then combine these techniques to create fully developed, layered artworks. What to expect Mornings: Focused art time exploring printmaking and mixed media. Artists will experiment with basic printmaking methods, painting, and layering techniques to build rich, textured pieces that blend multiple materials. Instruction is led by art educators and supported by studio staff. Afternoons: A mix of open and structured art activities with a variety of related projects, facilitated by studio staff, giving campers time to continue exploring prints, patterns, collage, and mixed-media experiments at their own pace. Throughout the week: Emphasis on creativity, play, and confidence-building in a fun, supportive studio environment where trying new techniques is encouraged. Schedule and ages Ages: 7–14 Half-day: 9:00am–12:00pm Full-day: 9:00am–4:00pm Fees Half-day (8:30am–12:00pm): $215 Full-day (8:30am–4:00pm): $325 All art materials are provided by the studio. Must provide own snack and lunch.
