Description The AMV Series Medium Voltage Soft Starter is designed for smooth starting and stopping of medium Voltage AC motors. By precisely controlling the firing angle of thyristors, it significantly reduces inrush current, mechanical stress, and grid impact, ensuring safe, stable, and efficient motor operation. Working Principle The AMV soft starter uses phase-angle control technology based on high-power thyristors. After receiving a start command, the controller synchronizes with the grid voltage and gradually adjusts the thyristor firing angle. This process smoothly increases the motor terminal voltage and current, allowing the motor to accelerate steadily. Optical fiber triggering ensures complete electrical isolation between the control system and the high-voltage thyristors, providing excellent electromagnetic interference resistance and operational safety.
