2008 Gibson Custom Shop Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Goldtop AGED & SIGNED Inspired By Series 1950s! Here is a really nice Gibson Custom Shop Joe Bonamassa Aged Les Paul Goldtop, one of the earlier and more desirable Bonamassa signature models, loaded with some very cool vintage-inspired specifications. This model captures the look and feel of Joe's favorite early Goldtops and includes several unique appointments that set it apart from a standard Historic Reissue. It features the factory mixed and matched control knobs, ABR-1 bridge with half nylon and half brass saddles, all black plastics, a lowered Gibson headstock logo like the original early Goldtops, an all-black back, and the classic Goldtop finish. The fingerboard is crafted from an exotic rosewood that is believed to be Madagascar rosewood, adding another desirable feature to this limited model. A particularly neat detail on this example is Joe Bonamassa personally signed the top just below the tailpiece. The original Certificate of Authenticity is also signed by Joe, making this a standout piece for both collectors and players. This guitar came to us from a collector and remains 100% original. The factory aging accounts for virtually all of the visible wear, and the condition is very good overall. The frets show very little wear, and the original electronics remain completely untouched, with the original CTS pots dating to 2008. The neck has a comfortable, chunky late-'50s feel, measuring approximately 0.90" at the 1st fret and 1.02" at the 12th fret, with a 1-11/16" nut width. At 8.9 lbs, it has an excellent balance of weight, sustain, and resonance. It plays effortlessly and delivers the rich, open, PAF-style tone you'd expect from a high-end Historic Les Paul. It comes complete with the original hardshell case, signed COA, and all of the original paperwork and case candy as shown.
