Anchovies Original Drawing

The drawing that began The Fussy Eater Series. I’ve always loved the look of food, even the things I’ve been too frightened to eat. Anchovies were one of those foods. Small, silvery and slightly intimidating. Before tasting one, I decided to get to know them in the only way I knew how. I spent hours slowly drawing every curled tail, delicate highlight and tiny detail inside the open tin. By the time the drawing was finished, the anchovies felt a little less frightening. Although eating one on toast still required a respectable amount of courage. Drawn slowly in coloured pencil, this one of a kind original marks the beginning of The Fussy Eater Series and my attempt to become a slightly more adventurous eater.
