Cambridge Audio L/R S Powered Bookshelf Speakers The Cambridge Audio L/R S powered bookshelf speakers bring genuine two-channel sound to spaces where a traditional hi-fi system may be too large. This ultra-compact active stereo pair has amplification built in, delivering 100 watts of total system power without requiring a separate amplifier. Designed for desktops, bookshelves, offices, bedrooms and smaller living spaces, the L/R S combines Cambridge Audio's stereo engineering with flexible everyday connectivity. Stream wirelessly with Bluetooth and aptX HD, connect a computer through USB-C, add a TV or digital source through optical, or use the stereo RCA input for an analog source. A dedicated subwoofer output also makes it easy to expand the system with deeper bass. Audio Exchange currently stocks the L/R S in Black and Walnut. 100W Active Stereo Sound in a Compact Design Each L/R S enclosure uses a 21mm aluminum dome tweeter and a long-throw 3-inch mid/bass driver in a rear-ported cabinet. The system provides 2 x 50 watts of output and a specified frequency response of 55Hz–24kHz, ±3dB, giving these compact powered speakers the clarity and scale needed for music, games, movies and everyday listening. Because the amplification and crossover are engineered as part of the speaker system, setup is simple: connect the pair with the included speaker-link cable, add power, choose a source and start listening. Placement controls help optimize the response for desktop use or room positioning, while Cambridge Audio's DynamEQ technology helps maintain a balanced presentation as listening volume changes. Three listening presets—Normal, Movie and Voice—make it easy to tailor the system for music, video content or dialogue. Their compact 5.3-inch-wide cabinets fit comfortably beside a monitor, on a shelf or on either side of a television. Bluetooth, USB-C, Optical and RCA Connectivity For wireless playback, Bluetooth supports SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX HD codecs. USB-C audio provides a direct digital connection for compatible computers and devices, while the optical TOSLINK input is ideal for televisions, streamers and other digital sources. A stereo RCA analog input accommodates traditional line-level components. Turntables can also be used when paired with a built-in or external phono preamplifier. For systems that need more low-frequency extension, the L/R S includes a dedicated RCA subwoofer output.
