Laser Wire® Prism SR is a steel-reinforced, long-distance Laser Wire® system engineered for demanding environments where durability, reliability, and extended visibility are critical. Built on the same glass-core optical platform as Prism, Prism SR delivers continuous linear illumination over distances of up to 100 meters from a single laser module, while adding a protective structural layer designed to withstand harsh conditions. Prism SR was developed for industrial, mining, and emergency applications where standard polymer-based lighting solutions are not sufficient. The integrated steel reinforcement provides enhanced resistance to crushing, abrasion, and mechanical stress, making it suitable for use in active work zones, underground environments, and field-deployed installations. Like Prism, Prism SR utilizes a proprietary blend of fluorescent powders and recyclable polyethylene materials surrounding a glass optical core. This architecture enables efficient optical color matching using standard Laser Wire® modules, allowing colors such as teal, orange, yellow, and pink to be achieved (along with standard Red, Green and Blue) without multi-color laser diodes or external combiners. The result is a rugged, long-distance lighting solution that balances optical efficiency with physical resilience; ideal for applications where visibility, safety, and system simplicity cannot be compromised. When paired with an external LiFePO₄ battery or appropriate power supply, Prism SR is well suited for use in high-stress environments where conventional lighting solutions fall short.
