Peated whisky at this age is always a special treat. Combined with the extra long fermentation for this whisky, the level of complexity the distiller is able to coak is actually astounding. Even more remarkable is that the whisky remains light and approachable with gorgeous notes of orange peel, honey, plum, camp smoke, and sea air. Very impressive effort.
