Chest 16 in. Length 26.5 in. Content: 100% Cotton Tag Brand: Mayo Spruce This humorous double sided tee was made for college football fans of the 70s, particularly those who were invested in the infamous rivalry between Ohio State University and the University of Michigan. As of 2025, the two schools hold the records for the most wins of any NCAA Division I football program, with Michigan in the lead. Thus their heated rivalry has attracted fans across the nation, and has been regarded as one of the greatest sports rivalries in history. This shirt hails from The Ten Year War era from 1969 to 1978, when both teams were consistently ranked within the AP top ten during their annual match up. This shirt appears to support the Michigan Wolverines with an over-the-top cartoon that pokes fun at the Ohio State Buckeyes coach, Woody Hayes. During this era, Hayes made quite a scene during the 1971 rivalry game. The coach went on a massive tirade after a call made by referee Jerry Markbreit, and he was subsequently fined and suspended for a single game. No doubt Michigan fans were amused by this, and this tee further makes fun of Hayes with the caption, "Woody is a pecker". The tag says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small. There is some light discoloration and fading throughout, see pics. 26-08-131898
