Tormore 16 year old 46.8%
Ex-Bourbon, finished in American oak sherry and a small proportion of European oak sherry (including some French oak) Tasted: Jul 2026 The nose displays some obvious sherry influence, but the balance is pretty good. Soft but herbal sherry with a touch of tighter, spicier French oak. Quite aromatic with dusty barley, dried apricot, menthol, sultana, date and croissant. The palate opens with toffee and citrus before moving into mature raisinated fruit. Subtly spiced with treacle, a touch of tight French oak and fruit cake notes on the middle. Long, vibrant and citric finish with icing sugar, baked pear, pastry and toffee finish. Lovely maturity and brimming with character!
