Vintage Art Deco Dressing Table Mirror Swivel Walnut Frame Floral Etched Glass 1930

A beautiful and highly decorative vintage Art Deco dressing table mirror, dating from approximately the 1930s–1940s, featuring a warm figured walnut frame, elegant stepped detailing and an attractive original etched glass mirror. The mirror has a particularly charming floral and foliate etched design, with delicate stems, leaves and stylised flowers sweeping across the glass. The central floral motifs are enhanced with small decorative details, giving the mirror a lovely period character and making it considerably more decorative than a plain dressing mirror. The substantial walnut frame has a softly rounded, streamlined profile typical of the Art Deco period, with carefully mitred corners and a beautiful warm honey-brown colour. The mirror is mounted within a sturdy freestanding frame and swivels/tilts, allowing the angle to be adjusted for practical use. The mirror stands on an attractive architectural wooden support with shaped feet, giving it a wonderfully substantial and distinctive appearance. The contrast between the lighter walnut-toned frame and darker wooden feet adds further visual interest.
