The Lina Clock is the timing reference for that system, generating the word clock signal that the Lina DAC and Lina Headphone Amplifier use to synchronize their conversion and amplification to a common, ultra-low jitter reference. Clock quality in headphone systems matters for the same reason it matters in speaker systems — jitter in the timing signal obscures low-level detail, compresses the sense of space, and makes the noise floor slightly higher than it should be. The Lina Clock removes those artifacts. What's left is a blacker background and finer retrieval of recorded detail than the DAC alone can achieve. Demo condition.
