Unlike heavily finished or coated leathers, this leather is intentionally left natural so you can see and feel its authentic character. Because of its natural finish, minor scuffs, marks, and variations may occur with handling. These are a natural characteristic of the leather rather than a defect, and they add to the individuality and character of each journal. With use, the leather will gradually develop a beautiful, rich patina that becomes uniquely yours. For added protection and care, we condition each journal before shipping. If your journal develops a scuff over time, a small amount of leather conditioner or a leather-safe cleaner applied with a soft microfiber cloth can help nourish the leather and gently buff away surface marks.
