Art Nouveau 18k/Platinum Sapphire & Diamond Halo Ring
A gorgeous ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold and platinum, this ring features a central, prong-set, cushion cut sapphire. The sapphire, which has an approximate total carat weight of .40ct, displays a deep, luscious blue hue. The sapphire is encircled by a halo comprised of 8, prong-set, rose cut diamonds, which catch the light gracefully with every turn of the hand. Each shoulder of the ring features a shield-shaped plaque, which is adorned with a singular, bead-set, rose cut diamond. Together, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .60ctw. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple. A beautiful example of Art Nouveau-era craftsmanship, this ring would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any antique jewelry collection! Measurements: The ring is currently a size 4, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 1.9mm. Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting, and all of the stones are intact and securely set.
