1988 Rolex Datejust Silver Dial 'UAE Armed Forces' Unpolished Like New Ref. 16030 (Full Set)
UAE Armed Forces Full Set The UAE in its rich history has, in the past, commissioned a good number of custom order dials for watches that had been purchased with the purpose of being gifted to Army Officials, Delegates, and guests of state. There are Air Force Dials, MOD Dials, and among many others there is the UAE Armed Forces dial which in our opinion is one of the most beautiful logo dials issued for the UAE. Here's a 1987 Rolex Datejust reference 16030 featuring the rare UAE Armed Forces Logo that is positioned between the center post and the 6 o'clock marker. While most of the stainless steel Rolex watches with this emblem feature champagne dials, this watch features an unsual silver dial. Retained in beautiful ‘close to new’ condition we assume that the watch has only been occasionally worn, maybe a hand full times. The case is razor sharp and showing beautiful factory finish with long and well-defined lugs and a crisp engine turned steel bezel. The beautiful logo beautifully stands out from the very monochrome look of the watch. Most stainless steel watches that were made with Middle Eastern logos have golden indexes, crown and hands to make them look more precious. These watches were ordered by the UAE government and gifted to members or the Army, foreign dignitaries, members of State and other important affiliated personalities. This watch is among those that were ‘over-ordered’ and landed back at the Authorized retailer Mohammed Rasoul Khoury in Abu Dhabi who then sold these at retail. And because they were sold in the boutique they issued Warranty certificates for these. This beautiful watch comes with its original Warranty certificate, booklets and box, a set that hardly ever comes up for these Military logo watches. If you want one of the best examples, this is your chance.
