Two newly developed 125mm spun aluminium mid/bass drivers use hard-anodised ceramic-coated cones to improve rigidity, efficiency and airflow, helping the AE2 produce fast, articulate bass and impressive dynamic headroom. A carefully engineered low-order crossover preserves musical timing and coherence, delivering a natural midrange, powerful dynamics and a lively, engaging presentation across a wide range of music. The triple reflex-ported cabinet is constructed from Acoustic Energy’s RSC™ constrained-layer HDF and bitumen material, with internal bracing and strategically positioned steel plates to reduce cabinet resonance and unwanted colouration.
