Mica Rat Tail Rear Rack

The Mica Rat Tail is an ultralight rear rack! Weighing in at just 410 grams including all mounting hardware, it blurs the lines between traditional heavy rack setups and ultralight bikepacking gear. Triple mounts on the sides will fit water bottles, cargo cages or anything under 2kg in weight that mounts to a 3-pack mount. The Rat Tail mounts to your seat stays using heavy duty zip ties, and to your seat post or seat tube with a machined clamp. Shims are included to fit 27.2mm, 30.9mm, and 31.6mm seat posts and the clamp can fit directly onto the outside of many frames (as pictured on an Esker Hayduke). The Rat Tail includes everything you need to mount it: Seat post clamp, shims, seat stay mounting blocks, and heavy duty zip ties. Notes: The Rat Tail is not compatible with traditional panniers - although our Buckskin mini panniers will fit. The Rat Tail is also not compatible with full suspension frames. Our price of $195 is a little more than the price on Mica's website, because we have already paid tariffs and shipping from Canada. The end cost to a US-based consumer will be less once those costs are factored in.
