Convivio — the Italian word for a feast shared among friends. That's the idea behind this board: not a sampler to nibble alone, but a full spread built for the moment guests walk in and the table fills up. We built it the way our cheesemongers build any great board — with a real progression. Start with Bayley Hazen Blue and Little Chardy, a bold raw-milk blue from Jasper Hill Farm and a bloomy-rind beauty from Birchrun Hills Farm just outside the city. Move into Mitica's Murcia al Vino, a wine-soaked Spanish goat with real character. Finish with a full pound of “White Gold” Parmigiano Reggiano (save a chunk for your cheese drawer!), aged and deeply savory. Alongside the cheese: spreadable Tempesta Nduja and sliceable Sicilian pepperoni for the charcuterie course, Marcona almonds and cornichons for crunch and acid, a jar of Blood Orange & Grappa Jam and White Truffle Acacia Honey for the sweet side, and a bag of Parmesan & Pecorino crostini to hold it all together. We finish it off with warm soft pretzels from Center City Pretzel Co. — because no Philadelphia table is complete without one.
